About the Artist
Melita Frances Moule is a fine artist whose practice moves between careful observation and expressive abstraction,
shaped by influences from nature, atmosphere, and music.
Painting seriously since 2000, Melita's work combines analytical study with intuitive exploration.A background in computing and cryptography informs her process, beginning with detailed sketches that evolve into freer mixed-media paintings in the studio.

Based in the West Country after living abroad and in London, she has studied with artists including David Tress, Margaret Merritt, and Frances Hatch, and exhibits regularly.

Between Structure and Abstraction
A body of work concerned with the balance between precision and freedom.
Through a process of accumulation and reduction, compositions evolve into nuanced studies of form and surface. Melita's work resists fixed interpretation, instead offering a space where perception shifts and meaning remains open.
