Melita Frances Moule

Melita Frances has painted seriously since 2000. Before that music and music-making were more important and still influence her work.

 

Her previous careers in computing and cryptography means that she likes to spend time analyzing her subjects carefully. Sketches in graphite and watercolour with observational notes are made  which act as a springboard to much freer creative work in the studio using mixed media. Abstraction is increasingly important but the basis of her work relies on the fun, joy and beauty of painting.
